What is a Phytosanitary Certificate and Why Do I Care?
A Phytosanitary Certificate (which we get for you) is issued after an agricultural inspector ensures that a plant shipment is pest free and specifically free of Gypsy moth and Japanese beetles in all forms. This requires that we make an appointment with the inspector so that he might visit and inspect the shipment.
The Certificate is required by Arkansas, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. We are unable to send bamboos to those states unless you purchase a Phytosanitary Certificate and send your order UPS 3 Day Select service.
You can order the Phytosanitary Certificate here.
Sorry for the nuisance and cost but we have no choice in the matter. And it does protect against accidental spread of some nasty pests.
