Fond farewell sale:
Limited inventory of the best bamboo at the best prices

After twenty years of selling exceptional bamboo, we've made the bittersweet decision to move on from retail. This is your opportunity to buy truly gorgeous bamboo at deep discounts -- but only while our limited remaining inventory lasts. To take advantage of this time-limited opportunity, accepting orders through mid-March.

There will never be a better moment to start a hedge of Fargesia scabrida, to plant the fabulous Fargesia nitida Juizhaigou or the lovely Thamnocalamus crassinodus, or to acquire a specimen of the oddly attractive Chimonobambusa tumidissinoda.

We're proud to say that bamboo from Burts is growing in forty eight states and parts of Canada. We treasure the many conversations we've had with people interested in bamboo and hope that you will continue to call with questions - or just to chat.

The zen of the single rare specimen, the lush abundance of a sun-dappled, whispering grove.

Burt Associates Bamboo, purveyor of fine living bamboo, sells an exceptional selection of bamboos for your home, office, or garden. We will help you select carefully-grown bamboos suited to your climate, your level of horticultural expertise - and your whim.

Our customers often need screens for privacy, groves for decorative value, bamboo timber for gardens or construction projects and single specimens for their beauty. We can suggest the proper species for each application, climate and exposure. We offer both clumping and spreading bamboos and can help whether you are in New Hampshire or New Mexico.

We are a small, family-owned nursery. We supply honest advice, do not exaggerate the hardiness of our plants, do not invent new varieties and do not inflate shipping costs. We look forward to hearing from you. Phone (978) 692 3240 Fax (617) 391 3614

These bamboos originate in the mountains of South and Central America, China and the Indian sub-continent. The Fargesias are among the hardiest of bamboos and all are useful in shade; some in sun as well. If you are in a northern state and need an evergreen screen that requires no control, The Fargesias are perfect for you. The Borindas, Chusquea and Drepanostachyum do well in warm states.
